• As the city's first legal cannabis shops are ready to open, community boards don't know their role in the process. The state's law makes community boards advisors on whether the state should approve a dispensary location, but details on how are unclear. • The Landmarks Preservation Commission on Tuesday voted unanimously to designate Julius’ Bar as an individual landmark, which is the oldest gay bar in the city. (Aaron Ginsburg for 6sqft)
• Mayor Adams is making city-wide job vacancies worse according to a new report from City Comptroller Brad Lander. Lander's report shows a high vacancy rate in thirty five agencies that provide social safety net services, enforce administrative rules such as building codes and maintain the city’s technological infrastructure.
