The "Primary Day" Edition
Everything you need to know about the NYC primary except who to vote for.
Hey Team,
I’m so used to writing emails that start with “Hey Team” for work, so why not keep it up with The Briefly too? Plus you contribute to the newsletter multiple times a week anyway! If you went searching for your Sunday email, it wasn’t sent. My internet connection was completely knocked out on Saturday and I didn’t get it back until mid-Monday.
Today’s edition is pretty straightforward. This is the day. It’s time to vote.
Polling places are open from 6 am - 9 pm today
Unsure where to vote? Check your address.
Unsure if you’re registered to vote? Check your voter registration.
The City’s NYC Voter’s Guide is a fantastic resource if you’re not sure. Don’t go to the polling place without a plan.
Take The City’s Meet Your Mayor quiz to show what candidate your ideals align with.
What’s the best way to check results? The Board of Elections results summary page is a good place to start.
When will we know the results of the primary? It won’t be for a few weeks. There were 220k absentee ballots requested and they have to be back to the Board of Elections by the 29th. (Allison Dikanovic for The City)
The best bars and restaurants with live music. (Nikko Duren and Bryan Kim for The Infatuation)
Let’s do this New York,
Rob.
