• Mayor de Blasio's public school vaccine mandate was delayed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. It's possible this may be resolved by Monday night's deadline, but we'll see. (Eliza Shapiro and Jonah E. Bromwich for NY Times)
• Monday is also the deadline for hospital workers and nursing home staff to be vaccinated in a state mandate. The first hospital system to establish a mandate, New York-Presbyterian, had only 250 of the 48,000 staff decline vaccination. • Covid-19 vaccine boosters are available for people 65 and older, nursing home residents, those ages 50 to 64 who have risky underlying health problems, and healthcare workers or have another job that puts them at increased risk of being exposed to the virus. (Matt Troutman for Patch)
